About Carey's Custom Woodworks, LLC

At Carey’s Custom Woodworks, LLC, woodworking is more than a trade — it is the
continuation of a lifelong passion for creating.

From an early age, creativity has been at the center of everything I do. My journey
began through drawing, painting, and sculpting as a child, and over the years, expanded
into other artistic mediums, including writing, music, construction, and eventually fine
woodworking. That same artistic foundation continues to shape every piece we build
today — blending craftsmanship, design, precision, and purpose into work that is meant
to last for generations.

I began working in construction at the age of 16, developing hands-on experience in the
building trades before eventually joining my father-in-law, Kevin Carroll’s, family
business, Carroll Restorations, Inc., in 2019. For nearly five years, I worked directly
beside Kevin in a true, one-on-one apprenticeship until his unexpected passing in 2024.
Kevin was a master craftsman in every sense of the word and the best role model a
young man could ever hope to have. I am blessed to have had such an opportunity to
learn from him.

Before founding Carroll Restorations in 1994, Kevin worked for Stickley Furniture as a
shop carpenter, handcrafting furniture pieces from raw materials before they entered
production. Through the years, Kevin built a reputation for exceptional woodworking,
cabinetmaking, finishing, and antique restoration work. Much of the knowledge,
discipline, and craftsmanship that define this business today were passed directly from
him to me through years of daily hands-on experience.

Today, that legacy continues through every project we take on.
Carey’s Custom Woodworks is a small, local woodworking shop proudly serving all of
Central New York from our full woodshop located in Lafayette, NY. We specialize in
high-end custom woodworking, cabinetry, finish carpentry, furniture, restoration work,
and one-of-a-kind handcrafted pieces built with care, integrity, and attention to detail.
